#6. Prayer

I love prayer! :) Every night and every morning that I'm on my knees I can feel the Saviors love for me. I'm so grateful I have a best friend in Heaven listening and caring for me when I feel alone. I can always count on Him. Always. I feel like I can talk to Him for hours on my knees. Somedays I just feel like talking to Him and telling Him how my day went. I ask Him questions and He answers them! He really does! I have a huge testimony on Prayer. :) Prayer always lifts me up.
In seminary they mentioned, "When you pray, what if the things you didn't mention you were grateful for went away?" The feeling made everyone think. That night I went home, got on my knees and prayed for everything I had and am grateful for. I felt like I was on my knees for an hour. When I was done I had the happiest feeling ever! I was proud and grateful for soo many things. I don't think I even mentioned half of the things. I have TONS!
I know I can prayer when I have trials, when i'm happy, when i'm sad, when i'm excited, when i'm angry or when i'm content. He will always be there listening and caring for what I have to say.
Here is a poem I keep on my "Friends" magnet board. I have never taken it down ever since I got it in YW's last year.
You Know His Number

His line is never busy,
pick up your phone and see,
you will always be able to reach Him,
just drop to your knees.

you have unlimited minutes,
I know you have been told,
and I will guarantee one thing,
you'll not be asked "will you hold?"

I'm not a "little prayer rock"
so don't tuck me in your drawer,
don't put me under your pillow
or chuck me on the floor.

But keep me close beside you
and use me all the time,
for in this world around us,
Satan's at his prime.

You can call when you need Him
or just to have a chat,
just bow your head and call
"Heavenly Father, where are you at?"

And when there's an emergency,
no need to dial 911,
just close your eyes and say
"help me out or forgive me for what I have done."

It's never too late to call Him,
He never goes to bed.
Remember, "Ask and ye shall receive,"
is what He said.

So next time when you're feeling down
or maybe feeling blue,
just pick up your little prayer phone,
He'd love to hear from you.
